If you can't seem to get everyone in your household healthy at the same time and everyone keeps passing around different sicknesses and illnesses, it's time to change some things. There are a lot of different ways you can try to keep everyone healthy without trapping everyone in a protective bubble. You can boost everyone's immunity so they are able to fight off the illnesses. Consider doing the following.
Keep Shoes Out of the House
It may sound silly but you want to keep your shoes out of the house, because there could be millions of different germs living on the bottoms. Instead, have everyone remove their shoes before they come inside, and spray the bottoms of the shoes down regularly with a disinfecting cleaning agent. Consider tossing all old shoes that aren't worn often or washing the shoes regularly when they get real dirty.
Consume Antioxidants and Probiotics
There are a variety of ways you can get immunity-boosting nutrients (like zinc, folic acid, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B-6, etc.) through your diet choices and oral supplements. Eat fruits and veggies that are chock full of antioxidants and take pills like intramax vitamins. Don't forget to add probiotics to your diet as well. Probiotics are going to help keep the good bacteria in your gut so that your digestive track can get rid of illness, stay healthy, break down foods, and absorb nutrients more efficiently. Probiotics are found in some dairy products and can be taken as an oral supplement or powder.
Remembering to wash your hands is obvious, but also remember not to grab dirty handles afterward. Make sure you wash door handles and sink handles often. You should also be washing the handles around your car. If your child is rubbing their nose or sneezing, and then touching the closet door, those germs can easily spread. Before you itch your face or eat something with your hands, make sure you've not recently touched a dirty handle. Washing handles is almost as important as washing your hands.
If you feel that you are coming down with something, it's important to get rest, drink plenty of fluids, and take vitamins as quickly as you can so your body can fight off whatever you're dealing with. There are always sicknesses and illnesses going around, but you can help your family fight the problems instead of having everyone suffer.
